Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 large green tomatoes
    1 red pepper
    2 green peppers
    4 large onions
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Grind tomatoes, peppers and onions using a coarse grinder. Add remaining ingredients and cook until thick (about 2 hours). Stir frequently to prevent burning.
    Pack in hot sterilized jars and seal immediately.
    Very good on cooked greens.
    Great on hot dogs.
    Makes 4 pints.
