Grandma Kinney'S Plain Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
6 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk (a little at a time)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Mix shortening and sugar.
Add remaining ingredients.
Makes 2 layers or a 9 x 13-inch cake.
Bake at 350\u00b0 approximately 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
