Mint Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. Karo light corn syrup
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    4 c. powdered sugar
    2 drops red food coloring
    2 drops green food coloring
    1 to 1 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
Preparation
    In mixer bowl, add Karo, margarine and extract.
    Beat.
    Stir in sugar, one cup at a time.
    Turn out onto sugared surface. Knead, adding sugar until stiff.
    Divide into 2 sections.
    Add food coloring.
    Roll into 1-inch balls.
    Flatten with a fork.
    Let them sit on waxed paper overnight.
