Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/3 c. boiling water
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1 c. uncooked rolled oats
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Combine water, oats and butter.
Let stand 20 minutes.
Beat sugar and eggs together.
Add to oat mixture.
Beat in remaining ingredients.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes in a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
Cool cake 15 to 20 minutes.
Put topping on cake and put under broiler for 1 to 2 minutes until it bubbles.
