Hash Brown Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. hash brown potatoes
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
    1 can shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. corn flakes or potato chips
Preparation
    Put potatoes in 1 1/2-quart ovenproof casserole with 1 tablespoon oil.
    Mix other ingredients and pour over potatoes. Bake 30 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Remove from oven.
    Sprinkle top with corn flakes or potato chips.
    Dot with butter.
    Bake an additional 15 minutes.
