Nanny'S Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. plain flour (approximately)
    3/4 c. cold water
    1 tsp. salt
    broth (from hen)
Preparation
    Boil hen to make good rich broth.
    Mix ingredients together and work it together until it can be rolled out thin.
    Cut dough into small pieces (approximately 1 1/2 x 2-inches).
    Have broth in a rolling boil and drop dumplings in broth, one at a time, shaking boiler frequently; do not stir.
    If broth is hot enough dumplings should be done in 4 or 5 minutes.
    Put deboned chicken pieces in broth before adding dumplings to broth.
    This will feed family of 6 to 8.
