Hill Of Beans Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 strips bacon, chopped
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. seasoned salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2/3 c. wine vinegar
    16 oz. can cut green beans
    16 oz. can cut wax beans
    15 oz. can red kidney beans
    1 onion, sliced
    1/4 c. celery, sliced thin
Preparation
    Put bacon in 2-quart casserole.
    Microwave on High for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes.
    With slotted spoon, remove bacon and place on towels to drain.
    Blend sugar and cornstarch with bacon drippings.
    Stir in salt, pepper and vinegar. Microwave on High for 3 to 4 minutes, until thick.
    Add drained beans, onion and celery slices to sauce in casserole, stirring well.
    Cover.
    Microwave on High for 6 minutes, stirring after 3 minutes.
    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
    Sprinkle bacon on top.
    Preheat before serving.
    Even better the next day.
    Makes 4 servings.
