Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/8 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Sift dry ingredients together, except soda.
    Add dry ingredients to pecans.
    Add soda to buttermilk and eggs.
    Add this to creamed mixture.
    Now add flour. Blend well.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Yields 3 small or 2 large loaves.
    Bake in 9 x 7 x 3-inch large pans or 6 x 3 x 3-inch small pans.
