Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    2 Tbsp. hot water
    1 c. cranberries, cut in half crosswise
    1 c. chopped nuts
    orange juice
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and baking soda; set aside.
    Mix egg, orange juice, melted shortening and hot water in a bowl.
    Add flour mixture.
    Fold in cranberries and nuts.
    Mix until it holds together.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean after being inserted.
