Refrigerator Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. lard or shortening
    3/4 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    4 c. flour
    1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Mix sugars, butter and shortening; add eggs and the soda dissolved in 1 tablespoon boiling water.
    Mix well.
    Add flour and nuts.
    Dough may seem a little dry.
    Pack dough in a wax paper lined 8 x 8-inch square pan; cover with wax paper and refrigerate overnight.
    Cut dough into thirds; cut each third into 1/4-inch (or less) slices.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
