Apple Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Wesson oil
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 apples, thinly chopped
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 pkg. caramel bits
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, soda and cinnamon. In large bowl, mix oil, sugar, flour and eggs.
    Add apples and nuts (thick mixture).
    Mix well and place in 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle caramel bits on top.
    Bake for 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
    Freezes well.
