Pineapple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box cake mix
    1 to 2 cans crushed pineapple
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    8 oz. carton Cool Whip
Preparation
    Cook cake mix by directions.
    Cook pineapple and sugar together until syrupy.
    After cake cools, put some of pineapple on cake plate.
    Put one layer.
    Poke holes in it.
    Put pineapple on layer. Top with other layer.
    Poke holes and put remaining pineapple. After it cools, put Cool Whip completely for icing.
