Creole Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. sliced bacon
    1 lb. round steak, cut in thin strips
    salt and pepper to taste
    3 medium chopped onions
    2 medium, thin-sliced carrots
    4 medium, thin-sliced potatoes
    1 c. cold water
Preparation
    Place bacon on\tbottom\tof
    pan.
    Distribute
    steak
    in layer over bacon.
    Add
    layer of onions, carrots and potatoes. Add water.
    Cook, covered, for 45 minutes on slow heat.
