Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter, oleo or Crisco
1 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
4 c. and 2 Tbsp. sifted flour
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter.
Add eggs, oil and vanilla.
Beat until soft and fluffy.
Combine all dry ingredients and stir gradually to creamed mixture.
Chill for 4 hours or longer.
Roll into 1-inch balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with glass or fork dipped in sugar.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
