Sopaipillas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour (all-purpose)
    1 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Cut shortening into dry mixture.
    Add enough water to make soft dough, but not sticky.
    Knead well. Let stand about 30 minutes.
    Roll out into 1/8-inch thick.
    Cut into 3-inch squares.
    Fry in deep fat.
    Serve with honey.
