Unstuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. lean ground beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 small head green cabbage (about 2 lb.)
    1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. packed light brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. distilled white vinegar
    1/2 to 1 tsp. salt (optional)
Preparation
    Crumble beef into 4 to 5-quart Dutch oven.
    Add onions and cook over medium-high heat until beef is browned (5 to 7 minutes). Quarter and core cabbage.
    Cut in strips (1 inch wide).
    Add to meat.
    Cover and cook over medium heat 5 to 7 minutes until cabbage wilts.
