Thanksgiving Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. applesauce
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. orange gum candy, cut up

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and applesauce.
Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt and stir into shortening mixture.
Add nuts, raisins and cut up candy. Pour into greased tube pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for approximately 1 1/2 hours.
