Zucchini Casserole(New To Us) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. zucchini and yellow squash, mixed if you like
    2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    1 c. sour cream
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    6 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
    1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. bread crumbs (buttered if you like)
Preparation
    Cook whole squash 5 minutes in salted water.
    Cool and slice thin; sprinkle with salt (if you like).
    Mix yolks, sour cream and flour; fold into whites, then mix with squash.
    In a 12 x 7 x 2-inch dish layer 1/2 the squash mix with 1/2 of the cheese and 1/2 of the bacon.
    Repeat and cover with crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
