Strawberry-Angel Food Dessert - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (3 oz.) pkg. Jell-O (strawberry or orange)
2 (10 oz.) pkg. sliced frozen strawberries or canned mandarin oranges
2 Tbsp. sugar
pinch of salt
1 pkg. Dream Whip, prepared
1 (10-inch) angel food cake, torn in pieces
1 c. orange juice (if using oranges)
Preparation

Dissolve Jell-O in 2 1/2 cups boiling water.
Stir in strawberries, sugar and salt.
Chill until mixture begins to thicken; fold in Dream Whip.
Cover bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan with cake pieces.
Pour mixture over cake.
Refrigerate 4 to 5 hours to set.
Yields 10 to 15 servings.
