Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 apples, peeled and chopped
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained (reserve juice)
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    1 c. peanuts (dry roasted or cocktail peanuts)
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, egg, reserved pineapple juice and vinegar.
    Cook over medium heat until thick.
    Refrigerate for 1 hour.
    Mix with remaining ingredients and 1/2 of the nuts. Sprinkle with remaining nuts on top.
    Refrigerate until served.
