Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. fresh broccoli flowerets or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
    2 cans condensed chicken broth
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    2 c. half and half
    1 large onion, diced
    carrots, diced (optional)
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Cook broccoli in chicken broth at least 5 minutes.
    (Can use frozen broccoli, also.)
    Saute onion and carrots in margarine until clear.
    Add flour to make a roux (thickening sauce).
    Add pepper to taste.
    Add half and half.
    Cook until thickened.
