Green Chili Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. top round steak, cubed small
1 c. beef stock or broth
2 c. canned tomatoes
1 small garlic clove, chopped
26 to 30 oz. whole green chilies, cut into large strips
1 c. chopped onion
8 oz. tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
3 potatoes (optional)
Preparation

Brown meat in 1 teaspoon hot oil.
Add all other ingredients, except potatoes, and simmer for 3 hours. If you are using potatoes, finely dice them and add after stew has cooked for 1 hour.
