Finksa Kakor(Finnish Cakes) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. soft butter
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1 egg white
    1/3 c. finely chopped blanched almonds
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly butter, sugar and almond flavor.
    Stir in flour.
    Mix thoroughly with hands.
    Chill dough.
    Roll out 1/4-inch thick.
    Cut into strips 2 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inches wide.
    Brush tops with slightly beaten egg white.
    Sprinkle with sugar and almonds mixture.
    Carefully transfer several strips at a time to ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake just until delicately golden brown at 350\u00b0 for 17 to 20 minutes.
    Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
