Cranberry Salad No. 1 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. cranberries, washed
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. cold water
    2 pkg. red jello (cherry or raspberry)
    1 c. boiling water
    1 1/3 c. celery, chopped
    1 1/2 c. apples, chopped
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    pecan halves (to decorate top)
Preparation
    Combine cranberries, sugar and cold water; boil until berries are tender.
    Remove from heat and add jello which has been dissolved in boiling water.
    When berries and jello mixture has cooled, add celery, apples and nuts.
    Mix and pour into 2-quart casserole dish.
    Arrange pecan halves on top to decorate. Refrigerate several hours.
