Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted plain flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 sticks butter
    6 eggs, separated
    1/4 tsp. soda
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond extract (optional)
    1 tsp. lemon extract (optional)
Preparation
    Beat egg whites in a bowl; set aside.
    Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks.
    Beat well.
    Sift flour.
    Measure.
    Sift again with soda and salt.
    Alternately add flour and sour cream to egg mixture, a little at a time.
    Fold in beaten egg whites and vanilla (almond and lemon, if desired).
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
