Yeast Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. self-rising flour
    3/4 tsp. soda
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 cakes yeast
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients well.
    Add shortening.
    Mix well by hand.
    Dissolve 2 cakes yeast in 3 tablespoons warm water.
    Add this and 1 3/4 cups buttermilk to flour.
    Mix well.
    Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
    When ready to use, roll as for biscuits.
    Let rise 1 hour.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
