Porcupine Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. tomato soup
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. onion
    2 Tbsp. parsley
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 clove
Preparation
    Mix 1/4 cup
    tomato
    soup
    with
    ground
    beef, uncooked rice, egg (beaten), onion, parsley and salt.
    Shape into balls about 1/2-inch in diameter.
    Brown in 2 tablespoons shortening with 1 small clove in
    skillet.
    Blend
    in
    rest of soup and 1 cup of water.
    Cover; simmer about 40 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring occasionally.
