Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. sugar
1 c. oleo or butter
5 eggs, separated
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
2 c. coconut
2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream sugar and butter. Add egg yolks one at a time and cream well. Add buttermilk, alternating with soda and flour mixture. Fold in beaten egg whites, coconut and pecans. Bake in 9 x 13 pan for 30 to 45 minutes.
