Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix sugar, syrup, water, salt and butter.
    Cover and bring to a boil.
    Remove cover.
    When mixture reaches soft ball stage, add peanuts.
    Stir frequently to prevent scorching.
    Cook to hard crack stage.
