Texas Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large white onions, sliced into rings
    1 can mushroom soup
    1/2 soup can milk
    3/4 tsp. celery seed
    1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Saute onion rings in saucepan in a little butter until almost transparent, then place in 2-quart casserole.
    Put other ingredients into the same saucepan and heat, stirring until cheese melts.
    Pour this mixture over the onions.
    Sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs or Ritz cracker crumbs.
    Bake, uncovered, in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 30 minutes. Very good with ham and pork dishes.
