Caramel Icing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. light brown sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
5 Tbsp. sweet milk
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. white Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix all ingredients well in heavy 2-quart saucepan.
Cook without stirring until a rolling boil.
Remove from heat.
Stir and test in ice water for very soft ball.
Cool to lukewarm by placing saucepan in ice cold water.
When cool, beat.
Mixture will lose shine and get a little thick.
May seem a little thin, but begin to frost cake, the icing will harden quickly.
Place frosted cake in airtight cake box.
