Mushroom Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms
    1/4 lb. butter, divided
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 c. seasoned croutons
    grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Save some of the caps from the mushrooms for topping.
    Cut up the rest of mushrooms.
    Brown the croutons in half of the butter. Place in 8 x 8-inch pan.
    Saute onion and cut up mushrooms in remaining butter.
    Spread evenly over croutons.
    Over this, spread the undiluted soup.
    Top with the mushroom caps.
    Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese.
    Bake uncovered at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Good with steak.
