Creamed Peas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. cooked peas
2 1/2 tsp. butter
1/2 tsp. sugar (optional)
1 tsp. flour
1 1/2 Tbsp. cream
3 c. Rockwell or pinto beans
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. catsup
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 medium onion
2 bay leaves
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Wash beans well, cover with water 3 to 4 times height of beans, bring to boil, then simmer 1 hour or until bean skins slip off easily.
Drain and rinse twice.
Place in baking dish, add remaining ingredients and then water to well above top of beans. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours, then at 275\u00b0 for 3 hours.
Check to make sure liquid covers beans, but do not stir.
Leave in oven overnight.
Reheat the following day.
