1950'S Mystery Pudding Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 beaten egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 medium can fruit cocktail
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix and sprinkle on top.
    Bake 45 minutes at 325\u00b0, until tests done.
