Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. sugar
dash of salt
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
4 c. Rice Krispies
2 c. finely grated coconut
Preparation

Put butter in cold, heavy skillet.
Melt slowly; add eggs, sugar, salt and dates.
Cook slowly, stirring constantly and mashing dates, for 12 to 15 minutes or until very thick.
Pour over Rice Krispies and mix well.
Cool and form into balls or figures.
Roll in coconut.
Yields 25 servings.
