Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. vegetable oil
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1/2 pkg. chocolate chips or butterscotch chips
    1 egg
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream together oil, sugar, egg and vanilla.
    Add dry ingredients which have been blended together.
    Add nuts.
    Spread in greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool in pan.
    Cut in squares.
    If desired, top unbaked dough with 1/2 package chocolate or butterscotch chips or Holiday M&M's.
