Stewed Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken, cut in pieces
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, halved
    2 carrots, cut in pieces
    2 stalks celery, cut in pieces
    2 tsp. parsley flakes
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Wash chicken; place in pot.
    Add boiling water to half, cover the chicken.
    Add seasoning.
    Bring to boil at medium heat, then turn to simmer or low heat.
    Cover and simmer about 2 hours.
    Cook noodles or dumplings in the chicken stock.
