Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 c. mashed bananas (about 3)
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Blend the shortening and sugar until creamy.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add to the shortening mixture.
    Blend well; add mashed bananas, lemon juice and nuts.
    Bake in well-greased No. 2 tin can (large size).
    Fill cans 1/2 full.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for about 50 minutes.
    Do not try to cut until cool.
