Ranch Style Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    3 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1/4 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Brown beef; add tomatoes, green pepper, onion and rice.
    Season with basil, salt and pepper.
    Cover and simmer 25 minutes.
    Top with slices of cheese.
