German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 to 16 red potatoes
    6 slices bacon
    1/2 c. diced onions
    1 tsp. flour
    2 tsp. sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
    3 to 4 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Cook potatoes until tender.
    Drain and peel.
    Slice and set aside.
    Fry bacon until crisp.
    Set aside.
    Cook onions in grease until tender (not brown).
    Drain off all but 2 tablespoons of fat. Put flour, sugar, salt and pepper into grease.
    Stir and cook until flour is a little brown.
    Add vinegar and water; thickens slightly as it cooks.
    Crumble and add bacon back.
    Pour while hot over potatoes and stir.
    Sprinkle parsley on top.
