Homemade Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. lukewarm water
    2 or 3 pkg. yeast
    1 c. milk
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. melted shortening
    5 or 6 c. plain flour (White Lily)
Preparation
    Stainless steel bowl is best.
    Pour water over yeast in bowl. In saucepan, warm milk.
    Add sugar and salt; stir until dissolved. Pour over yeast mixture.
    Add enough flour to beat into smooth dough.
    Add melted shortening; beat until mixed, then add enough flour to make stiff dough.
    Knead real well.
    Put back into bowl, cover and let rise until double.
    Make out; put in deep pan (skillet) with melted shortening and margarine in it.
    Pinch dough, don't cut dough.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
