Hot Fruit Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. sliced peaches, drained
    16 oz. pear halves, drained and coarsely chopped
    16 oz. plums or cherries, drained
    20 oz. pineapple chunks, drained
    6 oz. maraschino cherries
    2 bananas, sliced
    3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/3 c. butter
    16 oz. can applesauce
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine all fruit in baking dish (13 x 9-inch).
    Combine brown sugar, butter and applesauce in saucepan; heat and stir.
    Spoon over fruit and sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of brown sugar and pecans.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Seal with aluminum foil.
