Starter Juice For Friendship Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 can (6 oz.) frozen apple juice concentrate
3 apple juice cans of water
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1 jar (10 oz.) maraschino cherries, undrained

Preparation

Make starter in one-gallon glass jar.
Combine apple juice, water, sugar, lemon juice, yeast, cherries and juice.
Use container that has lid.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Cover and let stand at room temperature, stirring twice each day.
