Divinity Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo
    1/2 c. water
    2 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Boil sugar, Karo and water until it forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water.
    Beat slowly into well beaten egg whites (beat with mixer).
    Add nuts and vanilla.
    When it begins to thicken, drop by the spoonful on heavy waxed paper.
    Pack in airtight bowl.
