Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 c. + 2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 c. coconut
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation

Cream butter.
Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Sift in dry ingredients.
Add to cream mixture. Blend well.
Spread batter in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Spread cherry pie filling on top.
Sprinkle with coconut. Bake at 350\u00b0 until cake tests done.
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
