Corned Beef And Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 corned beef brisket
    1 small onion, peeled and stuffed with 4 whole cloves
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 clove garlic
    1 bay leaf
    4 peppercorns
Preparation
    Wipe beef with damp cloth.
    Place in Dutch oven; cover with cold water.
    Add onion, garlic, bay leaf and peppercorns.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat.
    Skim any foam; cover and reduce heat to low.
    Cook approximately 3 hours or until meat is tender. Remove meat; keep warm.
