Mother'S Tea Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar, salt and eggs until light and soft. Mix and sift flour and baking powder. Add to the first mixture alternately with milk and vanilla, beating well. Grease cup cake tins or line with paper baking cups. Fill cups 3/4 full. Bake at 375 for 15 or 20 minutes. Yields 12 cup cakes.
