Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium green tomatoes
    salt and pepper
    1 c. corn meal
    oil for frying
Preparation
    Wash tomatoes and cut out stems.
    Slice about 1/2 inch in thickness.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Coat with corn meal and cook in heated cooking oil in skillet.
    Brown both sides. Serves 6.
