Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
2 c. granulated sugar
2 c. shortening or oil
4 eggs
4 c. plain flour
2 c. coconut (optional)
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Beat sugar and shortening until smooth.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift flour, soda, salt and baking powder; add to mixture. Add vanilla and cinnamon; mix well.
Fold in coconut (optional). Drop on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown.
Makes about 75 cookies.
