Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 beaten egg
    4 Tbsp. molasses
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and shortening.
    Add beaten egg and molasses.
    Sift together dry ingredients and add to mixture.
    Mix well and chill for 3 hours or overnight.
    Form into balls the size of a walnut.
    Roll in powdered sugar and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Cool on racks.
